COVID stuff
Personal Essentials
Singing Stuff and Other Fun Gear (mostly optional)
- A photo of a completed negative rapid test that you took on Friday, immediately prior to the session. You can also bring the test itself to show us.
- Your health insurance information or insurance card, in case of emergency
- At least one spare rapid test, to test yourself during the weekend. Two is better just in case!
- Masks (optional, but we recommend that you bring a few just in case)
Personal Essentials
- Bedding / linens, including:
- Sheets (most beds are single beds; mattresses are provided)
- Blanket(s) or sleeping bag
- Pillow (s) & pillowcase(s)
- TOWEL! Definitely bring a towel
- Flashlight. The camp is dark at night and paths may be icy or muddy
- Toiletries, including towels, soap, shampoo, toothbrush, etc. Please try to bring low fragrance or unscented personal care products!
- Your personal medications, including any over-the-counter meds that you might need
- Clothes you can layer for cold weather: the buildings are heated, but we’re the first to use them this season, so it’s best to bring layers, as well as warm clothes and shoes to travel between the buildings
- Rain gear, snow pants, wet-weather shoes - you'll want to check the weather forecast to see what you might need
- Earplugs and/or eye mask, if you are a light sleeper
- If you have special food needs you may bring supplemental food. Limited fridge space is available only for those with special dietary needs. (If you plan on bringing food that needs refrigeration and haven't already done so, check in with the food liaison when you arrive!)
- Pillow! Did we say pillow? Bring a pillow!
Singing Stuff and Other Fun Gear (mostly optional)
- A song or many to share!
- Notebook and pens/pencils to write down notes, song titles, contact info, etc.
- Instruments! This is mostly a singing weekend, but instruments are very welcome
- Dance shoes (there is often an attendee-led contra dance on Saturday night)
- Indoor shoes or slippers
- An audio recorder - see our Recording Policy
- Items for the silent auction! CDs, music, books, anything else…great chance to re-gift! (If they do not get auctioned, they'll need to go home with you)
- Cash and/or a checkbook, for performer merch, and silent auction bidding
- Cell service across camp is poor, consider bringing walkie talkies if you need to keep in touch with someone at camp
- Comfy Seats: There isn’t a lot of comfy seating, so feel free to bring a camping chair, sit-upons or warm picnic blankets
- Hot and cold drinking vessels: Please bring your own mug and water bottle
- Tea for the communal tea table
- Your knitting/crochet/handcraft project
- Mobility devices - you'll want to check the weather forecast to see what may be needed; Camp Jewell has some gravel paths, hills, etc.
- Portable battery/power bank for your phone or other small electronics if you'll need them charged; electrical outlets are not readily available in all dorms
- Puzzles or games
- Snacks and drinks to share, for the weekend-long snack potluck table and late-night hangouts. No heating/refrigeration available for snacks. Label homemade food with ingredients, please.
